well, i guess i should start this

It seems to me that there are too many people in this world who dont know how to share. Whatever happened to the concept of "playing well with others" that we were all supposed to learn in kindergarten? i mean, it seems that if you are submissive to someone, you had darn well better be willing and able to share that someone...because ultimately it is the Dominant's choice who the subbies are, not the subbies... Oftentimes, people try to control others through emotional blackmail, even if they dont realize they are doing it. And sometimes there are really valid reasons for that...BUT- isnt there a point in life when a person is responsible for their actions, thoughts and emotions? i mean, isnt there a time when you have to just stand up and tell yourself that you're being ridiculous and you need to suck things up and move forward? Is it easy? No. But is it realistic to expect of someone over the age of 25 or so- i think so. Now, perhaps my opinion doesn't count for much, i mean, after all, i am a subbie (lol) but honestly...if you are trying to be healthy, isnt it the responsibility of the individual to make sure they are acting appropriately? When does being a sub automatically make someone not responsible for their behavior? When does childhood victimization stop being the excuse for poor behavior as an adult? That may sound callous, but i have been there, and it isnt pretty, and it isnt fun...BUT isnt there a time when you have to say to yourself enough is enough? And isnt there a time to walk away from the toxic people who try to keep you there with them?

This is just me venting. There are too many people in my life who are toxic for me...and isnt it time i step up to the plate and disconnect myself from the people who are keeping me down? When talking and explaining dont work, isnt it time to sever the ties and move forward? It may sound cruel, but maybe it is....time, i mean...time to walk away from those toxic people who despite their best effort (or maybe only the facade of a best effort) never seem to get better- never seem to heal...never seem to actually improve on anything...

i have been in this situation before. it isnt easy. BUT, the load that has been lifted off my shoulders when i have taken action has been so amazing, that despite the immediate hurt it takes time to recover from, in the end, it's ultimately worth it. i suppose it is time once again to make that painful leap...thankfully though, this time, there is someone who will catch me in Her safety net of love and protection to make sure that i survive the fall.....

to my very wonderful Ms O--- i love you biggest.....
your little o
